16 2010 Don’t forget to update your copyright year!Posted by: Lanyard Lab About: RandomnessWhile we generally operate a Monday – Friday business, we still check our e-mail and voice mail throughout the weekend, as we like to always stay on top of what’s happening at Lanyard Lab. As part of checking in today, I realized that we had not yet updated the copyright notice in the footers of our web site… and we’re 16 days into 2010! So let this be a reminder to all of you out there: Take a moment now to update your web sites, documents, e-mail signatures, or anything else that contains a copyright year. Or, better yet, here’s a bit of PHP code you can use to never have to worry about this problem again: <?php echo date(”Y”) ?>That code will automatically insert the current year (or at least the one set on your web server) to any .php file. It won’t work in any other type of file on the web though. Now, back to the e-mails…

7 2010 Lanyards in the Wild 1Posted by: Lanyard Lab About: Lanyards, Lanyards in the Wild, Printed PolyesterToday I’d like to introduce a new photo series for this blog: Lanyards in the WildThe goal of this series is to showcase various custom lanyards we’ve spotted while out and about. We don’t necessarily know the people who are using the lanyard we plan to take pictures of, so we won’t be showing their faces here. The lanyards are what are interesting to us anyway. We think it’s fun to see how different people utilize them. So here’s the first:
This custom lanyard was seen hanging out of this man’s pocket at a local supermarket. Here’s what we think it is: We hope this ongoing photo series will be helpful to readers of this blog who are interested in custom lanyards but want to see examples of them in use. Let us know if you find it handy. And please feel free to e-mail us any photos you take of other… Lanyards in the Wild

31 2009 It’s Dec. 31, 2009 at 10:36 p.m. as I begin to write this quick post on our new blog. I thought it would be appropriate to add a quick entry to our new venture at the end of a great year. What’s in store for Lanyard Lab in 2010? We hope to meet many amazing new customers, not only to help design and produce custom lanyards, but also just to get to broaden our horizons. That’s what makes this job great. Sure the routine of answering phones and e-mails, designing lanyard proofs, sending price quotes, and processing orders can get repetitive. But it’s the individual customers that consistently make it entertaining and enlightening. So for 2010, we look forward to not only success in business, but success in forming new relationships and learning little more about what makes the human race so unique and each if its members so very special. Happy New Year! We’ll talk to you in 2010.

30 2009 Yes, it’s only a couple minutes after posting the very first entry on this new Lanyard Lab blog, but we couldn’t wait to share our first (and possibly only) good idea for possible uses of this blog. We want to see you!No, you don’t have to fly to visit us in Central Florida (though I’m sure you’d enjoy a Disney vacation). But we would like to see you enjoying the custom lanyards you have ordered from Lanyard Lab. So, snap a photo of yourself or someone else happily wearing your custom lanyards, e-mail it to us, and we’ll proudly display it here on this blog.

30 2009 A new beginningPosted by: Lanyard Lab About: RandomnessWelcome Lanyard Lab visitor. You might be wondering, “Why does a custom lanyard company have a blog?” Or perhaps you’re thinking, “What could possibly be interesting about lanyards?” Well, even if you’re not pondering those questions, we are. Rather than setting a specific goal for this blog, we’re going to let it guide us. We have a few fun ideas percolating, but don’t want to limit ourselves in our very first post. We’re not going to commit to posting daily or even weekly, but we promise to post occasionally and keep this blog fun and friendly. And… we’ll try to relate the posted topics back to custom lanyards somehow. Wow. I’ve managed to start every new paragraph in this post with the letter “W.” So I’ll now end this post by simply reiterating: Welcome!
