26 2011 Our lanyards become part of national TV story line on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives”Posted by: Lanyard Lab About: Conventions, Custom Lanyards, TelevisionI know it’s been a long, long time since our last blog update here. But this one is worth the wait. A couple months ago, we received an order from Disney’s hit TV show “Desperate Housewives” on ABC for custom lanyards to be used in an upcoming episode. They were to be part of a “convention” on the show. I didn’t know to what extent we’d see the lanyards in the episode, assuming they would simply be worn casually throughout some of the scenes. Tthat episode (season 7, episode 19) aired this past Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised to see our lanyards not only prominently featured, but also tightly integrated into the episode’s story line. The lanyards actually played a rather important (and amusing) role! Below are a frames from the episode showing “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman and other actors wearing our red and black custom lanyards. The text design reads “Weisman LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE” which the fictional convention where Huffman and a few of the show’s other stars attended. You can currently watch the full episode on ABC.com.

17 2010 Lanyard Lab produces custom lanyards for an entire galaxy at Star Wars Celebration VPosted by: Lanyard Lab About: Conventions, Custom Lanyards, Customers, Events, Lanyards, Lanyards in the WildStar Wars Celebration V spent four intergalactic days at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, drawing Star Wars fans to the convention – and our Lanyard Lab lanyards were worn by tens of thousands of them. We produced the official Star Wars Celebration V lanyards, co-branded with the event’s logo and that of the DAVE School and couldn’t have been happier to see all of the attendees wearing them for the convention’s four day run. Our original proof/artwork:
Here are photos of a few of the more interesting attendees, special guests, celebrities, and costumed characters we spotted wearing our lanyards: ![]() In addition to being available at registration, our custom lanyards were being passed out to all attendees who needed extras. ![]() On stage, Matthew Senreich and Tom Root of "Robot Chicken" wore our custom lanyards. Unfortunately, actors Seth Green and Jay Laga'aia did not. Read the rest of this entry » You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

It’s not too late to get your tickets to see hundreds of exhibitors waiting to show you their best inventions to better your life at home and in your yard. This show allows you to get some tips about gardening, brush elbows with some HGTV celebrities, and you may even walk away with a nice potted plant or tool or two. Show hours are Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m, and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door, and are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Seniors (62 and over) are $5 on Friday only. Advance tickets can be purchased online for a $3 discount off full-price $10 admission at www.FloridaHomeShows.com. You can find out more information at centralflhomeandgardenshow.com. And since we didn’t attend last year’s Home and Garden show, we can’t share any pictures from it, but we did visit this year’s Epcot Flower and Garden festival, so here are a few photos from that to get you in the mood for this weekend’s convention: For more from the exciting conventions in Orlando, be sure to bookmark our special Convention Coverage category of the Lanyard Lab blog at http://www.lanyardlab.com/blog/conventions/ You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

15 2010 Did you see us at MegaCon?Posted by: Lanyard Lab About: Conventions, Custom Lanyards, Events, Lanyards, PromotionalEvery year in Orlando, MegaCon takes place at the Orange County Convention Center. This three-day show brings sci-fi, fantasy, and comic book fans together to socialize, dress up as their favorite characters, meet celebrities, and shop for collectibles. For us, it was a chance to give away some lanyards. If you stopped by booth B-3 in the Independent Press section, you may have seen our sign, grabbed one of our business cards, or even walked away with one of our free custom lanyards. While walking around the convention hall, I spotted a handful of people wearing them, so hopefully one of you is reading this and will request a quote from us for custom lanyards soon! Personally, I was also at MegaCon to have fun (as it’s always an enjoyable experience) and to cover the event for “Orlando Attractions Magazine.” Here’s a video I shot and edited for them summarizing the MegaCon experience:
