26 2011 Our lanyards become part of national TV story line on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives”Posted by: Lanyard Lab About: Conventions, Custom Lanyards, TelevisionI know it’s been a long, long time since our last blog update here. But this one is worth the wait. A couple months ago, we received an order from Disney’s hit TV show “Desperate Housewives” on ABC for custom lanyards to be used in an upcoming episode. They were to be part of a “convention” on the show. I didn’t know to what extent we’d see the lanyards in the episode, assuming they would simply be worn casually throughout some of the scenes. Tthat episode (season 7, episode 19) aired this past Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised to see our lanyards not only prominently featured, but also tightly integrated into the episode’s story line. The lanyards actually played a rather important (and amusing) role! Below are a frames from the episode showing “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman and other actors wearing our red and black custom lanyards. The text design reads “Weisman LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE” which the fictional convention where Huffman and a few of the show’s other stars attended. You can currently watch the full episode on ABC.com.

We produced the official Star Wars Celebration V lanyards, co-branded with the event’s logo and that of the DAVE School and couldn’t have been happier to see all of the attendees wearing them for the convention’s four day run. Our original proof/artwork:
Here are photos of a few of the more interesting attendees, special guests, celebrities, and costumed characters we spotted wearing our lanyards: ![]() In addition to being available at registration, our custom lanyards were being passed out to all attendees who needed extras. ![]() On stage, Matthew Senreich and Tom Root of "Robot Chicken" wore our custom lanyards. Unfortunately, actors Seth Green and Jay Laga'aia did not. Read the rest of this entry »

19 2010 The Ultimate Promotional Product: Disney’s Tronorail (Tron + monorail)Posted by: Lanyard Lab About: Custom Lanyards, Promotional, Technology, Theme ParksLanyards are often used as promotional products, helping businesses and other organizations spread the word about themselves. But when it comes to The Walt Disney Company, simple custom lanyards are not enough to promote something as highly-anticipated as “Tron: Legacy”, the sequel to the film “Tron.” Today Disney debuted the “Tronorail,” as it’s been unofficially dubbed. It is one of Walt Disney World’s theme park monorails wrapped in artwork from the upcoming Disney film, “Tron: Legacy.” The artwork features the iconic light cycles from the film (and the original “Tron”), leaving painted light trails behind. The repainted monorail is making its way around the Epcot monorail track, which runs back and forth between Epcot and the Transportation and Ticket Center. Here is a video of the Tronorail approaching Epcot, making its way through the theme park, pulling into the monorail station, and exiting to head back to the TTC:
And a photo gallery: Unfortunately, we don’t sell custom monorails here. Just custom lanyards. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
