Lanyard Lab Blog
Information and Fun. We're more than just lanyards.
Conventions, Custom Lanyards, Lanyards
New for 2015, Lanyard Lab has added the option for double-ended lanyards!
Common at conventions and other special events, double-ended lanyards prevent badges and ID cards from flipping around by attaching cards or badge holders via two hooks instead of just one.
All of our lanyard styles now have the option to be produced as either single-ended or double-ended. We can include the same attachment or different ones on each end. Badge holders ordered with double-ended lanyards will include a hole at each corner.

Conventions, Custom Lanyards, Television
I know it’s been a long, long time since our last blog update here. But this one is worth the wait.
A couple months ago, we received an order from Disney’s hit TV show “Desperate Housewives” on ABC for custom lanyards to be used in an upcoming episode. They were to be part of a “convention” on the show. I didn’t know to what extent we’d see the lanyards in the episode, assuming they would simply be worn casually throughout some of the scenes.
Tthat episode (season 7, episode 19) aired this past Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised to see our lanyards not only prominently featured, but also tightly integrated into the episode’s story line. The lanyards actually played a rather important (and amusing) role!
Below are a frames from the episode showing “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman and other actors wearing our red and black custom lanyards. The text design reads “Weisman LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE” which the fictional convention where Huffman and a few of the show’s other stars attended.
You can currently watch the full episode on ABC.com.
Star Wars Celebration V spent four intergalactic days at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, drawing Star Wars fans to the convention – and our Lanyard Lab lanyards were worn by tens of thousands of them.
We produced the official Star Wars Celebration V lanyards, co-branded with the event’s logo and that of the DAVE School and couldn’t have been happier to see all of the attendees wearing them for the convention’s four day run.

In support of Lanyard Lab co-owner Michelle Moss’s mother Karen, a breast cancer survivor, on Tuesday we made a donation of $1,000 to support Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
Their battle to better treat, and eventually cure, cancer is a cause we are happy to support and we wish Karen Moss nothing but the best health for many years to come. She will be participating in the Mt. Plymouth/Sorrento Relay for Life this Friday, May 21st and is now well on her way to reaching her $1,500 donation goal.
If you would like to make a donation, we ask that you do so on behalf of Karen via this link. The minimum donation is just $10 and every little bit helps.
We’re proud to help the fight against cancer!
